Places to Stay - Santa Fe Fly Fishing School

Places to Stay

Your choices of places to stay in the Pecos area are relatively limited and some places require quite a bit of advanced booking.  Three of them have very similar names, but they’re all unique and located in different parts of the Pecos area.  If you want to stay in a hotel, you’ll have to stay in Santa Fe and there’s an abundance of choices and price ranges. It’s only a 25 minute drive from Santa Fe to our school.

The River Studio cabin

The Pecos River Cabins are the only in-town, on the river lodging available.  They are located about 8 minutes from our school.  Located adjacent to the Pecos River, there are four modern cabins and three rustic cabins available.  After a lesson you can step into the river behind your cabin and enjoy the sunset or practice what you’ve learned.

I’ve had clients who’ve stayed at the Bobcat Inn and were very pleased with their stay. It’s the closest place to stay that isn’t in the Pecos area.  It also places you close enough to downtown Santa Fe that you can take advantage of restaurants and entertainment without a lengthy drive.  They also offer three pet-friendly rooms.

This bed and breakfast is located all the way up the valley near the end NM-63 just before you drive into Cowles. The location couldn’t be more spectacular for views and access to hiking, fishing and enjoyment of nature.
