While this isn’t the first stocking report of the year, I had to start somewhere. No stocking on the Pecos River above Pecos on this report, though there was a stocking last week. NM Game & Fish has stocked Monastery Lake. The beauty of that is that Monastery Lake is closed because of Covid and those fish will get a chance to grow before they become someone’s dinner. I hope they become smart and figure out how to resist Powerbait.

In addition to a New Mexico Fishing License or Game-hunting & Fishing License, once each license year (April 1–March 31) anglers must purchase a Habitat Management & Access Validation.
